The "Our Town" regional video project was developed by J2G's Regional Committee to help promote a unified message about the southeast Minnesota region through the use of two-minute community videos.

The project created an avenue for students within the region to think of their community as a place where both individuals and business can thrive.

Including our youth in this creative project provided an opportunity to expose them to the process of understanding and promoting economic development and its importance to the future of our region.

The winner of the "Our Town" regional video project is Owatonna senior, Jay Sullivan. J2G will present Sullivan a $1,000 award on April 24th, 2017 at the Owatonna school board meeting. He will also receive a job shadow opportunity at the Creative Services department at KTTC/Fox 47, Rochester MN.

The project was made possible through a grant from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation (SMIF) and in partnership with Southeast Minnesota Together.
