High alcohol consumption is harmful to health and makes you fat

Most people should have known for a long time that the regular consumption of large amounts of alcohol is not healthy. Alcoholism increases the risk of diseases such as high blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure, fatty liver, nerve damage and various types of cancer such as colon cancer. Alcohol is also underestimated as a fattening agent. So also from a man from the USA who was heavily overweight after years of drinking. But then he decided to withdraw coldly and reduced his weight by 24 kilos.

Much happier without alcohol

Cheyne Kobzoff was 33 years old when he decided to quit drinking. Before that, the American had been an alcoholic for years and was extremely overweight due to his enormous alcohol consumption.

The cold withdrawal, which he decided to do, helped him to leave alcoholism behind and lose 24 kg within a year.

On the website "Reddit" he posted a before and after photo, which clearly shows how good the abstinence did the man.

He commented on the picture, stating that a year without alcohol made him "a thousand times happier".

But not only not drinking alcohol, but also sport has made him feel better and weigh less.

Healthy lifestyle with lots of exercise

In an interview with Vice magazine, Kobzoff said that he started drinking at the age of 15. Over the years, his alcohol consumption increased. "At some point I came up with twelve beers a night and then a glass or two of wine," he told the magazine.

“I started drinking to get my inner unrest under control. After I stopped, this inner unrest didn't really go away, ”said the 33-year-old.

As a consolation, he first stuffed tons of candy and drank lots of lemonade. About a month later, however, he changed his lifestyle and started running, getting faster and faster. He also did sit-ups and started deadlifts, squats and bench presses.

It didn't take long until the six-pack. He doesn't want to go back to his former lifestyle:

"I just know that I can no longer drink. I'm too afraid to get back into this vicious circle, ”Kobzoff told Vice. (ad)
