Crystal

Known as crystal or crystal meth, the drug is based on the active ingredient methamphetamine and puts users in a euphoric state with increased performance and various other effects, which can include hallucinations. When the effect subsides, severe exhaustion appears and the users quickly develop into a psychological addiction. Regular consumption of crystal usually leads to rapid physical decline, which can manifest itself, for example, in increased skin irritation, tooth damage, weight loss, stomach problems, cardiac arrhythmia and kidney damage. There are also possible psychological problems such as paranoid delusions and anxiety disorders, depression and other psychoses, as well as impaired concentration and memory. When overdosed, Crystal can cause serious cardiovascular problems and, in the worst case, can be fatal. (fp)
