Recall for raspberries for noroviruses

The company Jütro Tiefkühlkost GmbH & Co. KG is recalling the product "BIO GRENO Raspberries 300g". "Affected goods are those with the best before date printed on the packaging (best before) 11.04.2019 and 06.06.2019 and the imprint: L110417B3 ... and L060617N ... 11.04.2019 // L110417B3 ... and 06.06.2019 // L060617N ...", it says in a message. "It cannot be ruled out that in individual cases noroviruses are in the product," says the company.

Serious health risk

Since eating foods that are contaminated with noroviruses can lead to serious health problems, it is better to avoid them.

Infection with the dangerous germs usually triggers violent diarrhea, nausea and vomiting in humans.

In addition, there is often a strong feeling of illness with muscle and abdominal pain, occasionally with a slight fever and headache.

The severe vomiting diarrhea can lead to dehydration, which can be manifested by a pronounced feeling of weakness or dizziness.

In young children and the elderly, as well as sick or weak people, the infections can sometimes be severe. (ad)
