Alternative medicine

Alternative medicine is a collective term for medical concepts, the effect of which has not been clearly scientifically proven, but here a variety of different diagnosis and treatment methods are lumped together and, in addition, a distinction is suggested in the direction of so-called conventional medicine, which is used in medical practice in this Form does not exist. For example, many people see naturopathy as an alternative medicine that cannot be assigned to evidence-based medicine. For some areas of naturopathy, however, the effect has long been clearly scientifically proven and, for example, conventional medicine for many diseases relies on the active ingredients of medicinal plants, i.e. phytotherapy, a core element of naturopathy.
